Inspiration

Rustic touches in a modern design

When Alisha Kamuchey began this kitchen redesign in a classic Wauwatosa home, the goal was all about creating more space.

The homeowners desired a modern yet rustic island with seating for two or three, so to satisfy the request Kamuchey, a design professional at WBS in Sussex, used a slab of timeless Carrera marble over knotty alder cabinets stained the color Wheat. Stainless steel appliances, white Dura Supreme cabinets in the style Homestead, and granite in Absolute Black, pulled the design together. A dry bar with open storage at the back of the kitchen took the place of wasted closet space.

“I collaborated with interior designer Rose Bonacorsi to update this classic home,” Kamuchey said. “We wanted to keep the feeling evoked by the home’s original architecture, and I think the design reflected that perfectly.” See on Houzz

How is the Visualizer working for you?

Our goal at Wisconsin Building Supply, put simply, is to make your job as a contractor easier. We try to stay ahead of the market curve and offer tools and resources that help you get the job done more efficiently and with fewer changes. One way we’ve done that is by offering a design program called the Visualizer, and we’re looking for your feedback on this innovative tool.

SURVEY LINK

The Wisconsin Building Supply Visualizer is a design tool that puts your client’s plans and ideas into pictures.

Technology allows us to give you, the builder, direct access to your own Visualizer account. This helps your clients choose finishes like cabinetry and windows, so they get a real feel for what their home will look like before the design phase is even complete. In turn, you’re rewarded with happier clients and fewer change orders, which saves time and keeps your building schedule on track.

Because our goal is to make your job easier, we’d like to know if you’ve found this tool as useful as we hope it’s been. If you haven’t already, we would appreciate if you’d take a few seconds to respond to the quick survey questions in your WBS January update email.

Experiences

Improving door finishes at no extra cost

We aim to provide our customers with the absolute best products in the building industry, and we’re confident that we excel in this area. Even so, we’re constantly looking for ways to improve what we already offer, and one way we’re doing that is by refining the door finishing process at our Green Bay door plant.

We want the products that come out of our facilities to be a reflection of the exemplary workmanship WBS is capable of. Because of this, we’re making some innovative changes in the finish process at our Green Bay door plant.

In an effort to improve the quality of our finishes, particularly on pine doors, we’ve added another layer of finish that will make our final product even better. And the best part is that it’s being done at no extra cost to you.

We’d be happy to show you around the door plant and give you first-hand knowledge of how the process works. Please contact your WBS sales representative to set up your tour today!
